Garcia, as head coach of the Mable Falls High School golf team in 2003 and in 2006, guided the team to a third-place finish in regional competition. Garcia was a student at Texas Christain University to study for some years after her graduation from high school. Then she transferred to the University of Texas. So after graduating from the university she landed a job as a reporter at Fox Sports Southwest.
